Electro 101 with Sir Electric Steve – Sponsored by ElectraStim

Class Description:
This class is a basic introduction to erotic E-Stim play. The class will introduce the basic use of e-stim devices, and electrode placement on the body for maximum stimulation. Emphasis will be placed on the safe use of electricity on the body. Students will be encouraged to participate in the experience of e-stim play. Basics will cover popular power units, and the do’s and don’ts of e-stim play. Each student will have access to various e-stim power units, allowing them to experience the e-stim sensation first hand.
Instructor Bio:
Sir Electric Steve is a degreed electrical engineer with over 40 years experience in erotic and BDSM electro play. He has a background in Bio-Medical Engineering and holds two patents in medical stim circuits. Sir Steve is a previous presenter at CLAW and continues to teach classes at various Kink and Leather venues on Electro Play, designing bondage furniture, kink devices and Sex Tech. His last professional position was at Underwriters Laboratories, where he was involved in the testing of electrical devices. He designed one of the first E-Stim devices in the early 70’s. Sir Steve continues to design advanced E-Stim devices and provides consulting on E-Stim technology and SexTech applications.

Class Description:
You have made yourself known and won a local or community title as their chosen representative. How do you navigate your title year and go on to the next level of competition? What will be your legacy as a title holder? Who do you have to support you? Join us at our host location for the MR.LEATHER64TEN 2020 contest, Jackhammer, to meet former members of the Chicago Kennel Club (CKC) on Saturday, March 14 from 3pm – 4 pm.
Instructor Bio:
You will have the opportunity to interact with; Dean Ogren, American Leatherman 2000. IML Stage and Contestant Coordinator for more than 25 years. Rubber Willy, Owner and Executive Producer of Mr. International Rubber (MIR) for the past 24 years. Master Wayne, Mr. Cellblock 98. Contestant Handler and Stage Crew for IML with two decades of involvement. Todd Davidson, Cellblock Leatherman 2006. MR.LEATHER64TEN Contest Producer since 2015. Contestant Handler and Stage Crew for IML with 15 years experience. Between 2004 & 2008, the members of The Chicago Kennel Club coached hundreds of contestants from all backgrounds on their journey to IML. This coaching helped 27 title holders reach the Top 20 and supported 3 winners, Bo Ladashevska (2006), Mike Gerle (2007) and Gary Iriza (2008).During this event, we will discuss the Top 20 objectives to get you to the Top 20 in your title year! Combining the years of experience between the members of the CKC, this group of former title holders has helped mentor the community leaders of the future. Please join us for this invaluable opportunity to learn from those recognized in our community as true leaders and mentors.

The History of IML with Joey McDonald

Class Description:
A review of IML – Chuck Renslow’s annual family reunion – over the past 42 years.
Instructor Bio:
Joey McDonald has been an active member of the Leather/BDSM community for over 40 years. He volunteered at the first International Mr. Leather Contest in 1979, and has been involved with the organization since. He currently serves as President of the Chuck Renslow Charitable Foundation. In 2009, he received the Pantheon of Leather Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into Chicago’s Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame. He was awarded the Chuck Windemuth Mentorship Award in 2018. He is an honorary Mr. Midwest Leather. Joey is 28 years sober, and is a founding member of LORE, Leatherfolk Of Recovery, a club committed to fostering sex-positive awareness for leatherfolx in recovery.
Joey enjoys serving on speaker panels among the LGBT, Leather/BDSM, 12-Step Recovery, HIV/AIDS and African-American communities where he can share his knowledge and thoughts on Mentoring, Kink in Recovery, ‘Safer’ Play, Racism & Sexism, and Magnetic (serodiscordant) Relationships; he also judges contests in and out of leather. In his spare time, he indulges his fondness for travel, gingers, pups, electricity, impact play, and honey.
